
Disney has released the trailer for its local series, Matildas: The World at Our Feet, profiling Australia’s women’s national football team.
A must-watch superiority of the Women’s World Cup, the series follows the stories of players including global superstars Sam Kerr, Ellie Carpenter, Mary Fowler and more, as the Matildas reveal the sacrifices they’ve made and struggles they’ve endured as they squint to wilt the weightier of the weightier in the world’s most popular sport. Despite all their hardships, their sights are set on one goal throughout – to leave a lasting legacy and inspire future generations to pursue their dreams.
“Matildas: The World at Our Feet” is produced for Disney by Barking Mad Productions and Station 10 Media. The series is directed by Katie Bender Wynn (The Will To Fly), with Steve Bibb (Shipwreck Hunters Australia, Inside the Sydney Opera House) and Christopher G Cowen (Decades Series, College Football 150, State of Play) serving as Executive Producers, and David Briegel-Jones as Co-Executive Producer. Fremantle and Boardwalk Pictures moreover unsalaried services to the production.
