The show went on hiatus in April due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. With its return to the airwaves, the hotly anticipated Kara arc, which sees Boruto take on new duties in Valley Country, will begin on Jul. 19.

Two additional cast members have been announced: Cho as the mysterious Victor, a Kara member, and Kakihara Tetsuya as Deepa, another member.

Director Kouda Masayuki has released a series of illustrations to celebrate the shows return.
